The Everglades/Ten Thousand Islands, Naples, Fort Myers and Pine Island backcountry are home to some of the best saltwater game fish opportunities for snook, redfish, tarpon and trout. Southwest Florida's tropical waters offer some of the finest sight fishing in the region. For me, this style of fishing is by far the most rewarding and exhilarating whether it's accomplished on fly or spinning gear. I'll take you on a light tackle backwater fishing adventure through the abundance of mangrove shorelines, shallow grass flats, and numerous islands that make Southwest Florida such a unique and diverse region.

In addition to kayak fishing charters, I provide land based trips for snook and tarpon in the Spring and Summer months. During these months as the Gulf waters get warmer, snook make their way from the backcountry to the beach where they follow the baitfish. Naples beaches are regarded as having some of the best snook fishing on foot in the Southwest Florida area. Whether it be on spinning gear or fly,there's nothing like the feeling of seeing schools of snook cruising just a few inches away from you as you walk the beach getting ready to make that perfect cast.
Witness the aerial display that only a tarpon can provide as you enjoy an exciting fight on your land based adventure in the brackish canals of the Everglades backcountry. During the Winter months as the water gets cooler, tarpon will head into these warmer backcountry waters. The true bonus to fishing Florida canals is the diversity that can be caught. In addition to tarpon, snook, largemouth bass, Mayan cichlids, alligator gar, and jacks can potentially be caught in the Everglades canals on
foot.
